About Me
My name is Lila Goncalves, I teach scrapbooking and how to make crafts with paper. I currently live in Brazil in a city called Belo Horizonte , but I also participate of scrap fairs in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
I have been teaching art with paper for over fifteen years. I work with paper, origami, tea bag and many other techniques. I have participated in two editions of the Artesania National Paper Fair in 2004 where I discovered scrapbooking.
In the beginning scrapbooking was just a hobby, but today it is an integral part of my life. I'm always looking for new techniques, research and deepen understanding of the joyful art of preserving memories.
Currently, besides this website, I have two blogs: The Art Manhas - a space devoted to cards, where I teach new techniques about how to use stamps, emboss, etc. - showing step by step with illustrative photos. The Artemanhas is a special place for those who like cards. I also have the LilaScrap - my personal blog devoted to scrapbooking pages, mini albums and general decoration.
By definition scrapbooking is an activity that uses special techniques for decorating photo albums and preservation over time with materials acid-free. Through these techniques you can create not only pages but also labels, decorative papers and many other elements that will make your photo album an unforgettable piece of art.
I speak Portuguese, but also understand a little bit of English and French.
I love making new friends to share these wonderful techniques. If you would like to send a message, please feel welcome to do so!
